This is the most beautiful doll I have bought in a long time. They also come with a great back story and each doll has her own personality. I really like the blue eyes on this doll, they are very realistic.

The outfit on the Sophie doll is really cute too. I also discovered that the bodies of Liv dolls are about the same size as Barbie but Liv has a more athletic, realistic looking body. Barbie clothing looks great on Liv dolls too, in fact some of it looks better on Liv than Barbie! This is a huge bonus to girls who happen to have a lot of Barbie clothing already. They can't share shoes BUT Liv can stand on her own (hard to do but possible) when she is wearing her sporty shoes.

The whole line of dolls overall seem to have a very clean, wholesome look. They wear clothing like regular teenagers. Another cool feature is the hair. It's very silky, as some other reviewers mentioned and they have wigs that can be changed. You can buy extra wigs for a great price too.

As a collector I hope these dolls do well. I would love to see SpinMaster add more stuff to this line of toys. I noticed the Liv hair salon and the cardboard fold-away house are sort of cheesy. The website too could use some changes and more updates but I won't let that affect my opinion of the actual toy. This is a great toy and once the company gets some feedback on the product I am sure they will make some changes.

The real test will be if KIDS like the dolls. If they sell well this holiday season, I am sure they will add more dolls, clothing and other stuff. I think this doll has a lot of good points: Cool hair, fresh looking face, nice eyes, moving joints and realism. I am sure I will get the other two dolls soon!

So, I bought one of these dolls for a friend and started modifying it. Along the way, I thought her doll was cute, especially once I switched out her very vibrant eyes for more modest ones. Her doll was flexible and durable, and the wig shed like crazy. Overall, she was a good buy.

Then, I bought my own doll. Her eyes were less shocking, which was good, and her wigs didn't shed. However, the tights were ill-fitting, and the worst part. . . Her hands didn't move, at all. She isn't very flexible, and I'm afraid I might break her. I bought this particular doll because her skin tone is inconsistent through out her body, and I thought it looked kind of cool. So, I'm not too disappointed, but it's just kind of strange.

I completely understand the very mixed reviews, now (at least when it comes to the quality). I learned that the product quality is of variable consistency. While I wouldn't recommend these dolls to everyone, anyone who is interested in ball jointed dolls may enjoy them.

My granddaughter got a Liv doll for Christmas and by the next day, she was crying and bleeding from this toy. Apparently, the feet are removeable creating a little space between the foot and ankle for a little finger to be pinched, and pinched hard. This doll drew blood and its design should be modified.

My almost seven year old daughter wanted this doll very badly. She was so excited to see it at Target and not have to order over the internet. She waited patiently for the grand opening of the LivWorld website to log on and play games. Within 15 minutes, she said the website was "lame" and she hasn't gone back. She still plays with the doll just like any other Barbie, but was definitely disappointed about the website.
